A pavement has become a hazard for pensioners in Beeston.
Brian Hardcastle, 77, and his neighbours say they are desperate that the path linking their homes to the shops on Town Street be resurfaced.

So far, however, their appeal seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

"It needs to be done before someone falls again," said Mr Hardcastle, who says he has already taken a tumble there.

"They are old people living around here without cars who need to use that pathway."

The ginnel is used mostly by people living at Wesley Court and the Sunnyviews.
