British Gas workers have teamed up with staff and pupils from St Anthony's Primary school in Beeston to create a new outside seating area.
Supported by Beeston & Holbeck Councillors Angela Gabriel and Adam Ogilvie, this project is the result of a combined effort from the school and staff from the nearby British Gas depot.

This is just one of several community projects currently being undertaken by British Gas in the Beeston & Holbeck area.

Councillor Angela Gabriel (Lab, Beeston & Holbeck) told Beeston Today: "I am delighted that work on this project has finally been completed. The new outdoor seating area is fantastic and will be a great facility for the youngsters of St Anthony's. The children now have a purpose-built safe and comfortable area where they can engage in social and leisure activities.

"I would like to thank British Gas who have kindly volunteered to take part in this project and others in our community.

Councillor Adam Ogilvie (Beeston & Holbeck) added: "The seating area is a great addition to St Anthony's Primary School and will be ideal for the summer term when pupils get the chance to sit outside in the warmer weather.

"It is important that young children get the opportunity to engage in outdoor learning activities and this new facility will provide the perfect setting for this."
