Hunslet Hawks set for Blackpool Panthers clash

Player/coach Paul March today insisted Hunslet Hawks have nobody to fear in the Co-op Championship One play-offs.

Hawks finished sixth in the league table and will visit fifth-placed Blackpool Panthers in an elimination tie this weekend.

March, who took over midway through the campaign, said he was "reasonably happy" with Hawks' final position.

And he added: "We've got a bit of confidence now.

"I've talked to the players and said we shouldn't be fearing anybody.

"The only team who can beat us at the moment, if we are on our game, is ourselves."

Hawks came through the 36-18 win over Oldham two days ago with no new injuries.
