Middleton continued to pile on the pressure, but they struggled to finish their chances, time and time again. Middleton looked like winning the game from the start, but when Stephen Carr went to collect a through ball, the ball deflected off the referee and to the feet of the opposition, resulting in a great goal from Smiling Mule.

Middleton knew now the score was 1-1, they had to carry on piling the pressure and they continued to do so, a lapse of concentration at the back from Gareth Robinson saw him pass the ball across goal into the feet of an oncoming striker, leaving Steven Rose to pull off a sensational save down to his left hand side.

Middleton created an amasing display of football created a chance for Aaron Ofori-Atta an amasing finish followed, his first goal for the club, another debutant Simon Johnson played like a rock in midfield, but struggled fitness wise and was substituted at 10mins after half-time for James Hemmings, the score 2-1 to Middleton in the break.

Middleton pilled on more and more pressure and Smiling Mule started to argue and looked unorganised at the back, but Middleton couldn't hit the net. Smiling Mule soon got their equaliser after the referee missed a clear offside to lose Middleton the points.

Smiling Mule will surely be relieved to gain a point out of nothing, Middleton will surely be practising shooting in training this week.
