Middleton Park 2
Middleton Cons 3

Date: Wednesday, August 13

Middleton Park started a bit rocky conceding a goal from Steven Hirst early in the first half, but a brilliant move from midfield saw Middleton Park equalise just before the half time whistle.

A brilliant effort from Ryan Brough showed that Middleton Park wouldn't be beaten easily.

The second half saw Middleton Park score a second against the Middleton Cons team with a fantastic run down the left wing, Martin Evans with a clinical finish after replacing Simon Mead only 5 mins prior to the goal.

Middleton Park played their hearts out, but the Middleton Cons didn't hold back and gained an equaliser a five minutes from time through Lee Metcalf, then after half a dozen efforts from Middleton Park, a counter attack move from Middleton Cons ensured the win only a couple of minutes from time

Daryl Brown struck from the edge of the box to score what can only be described as a wonder goal.

The final score 2-3 to the away team. Both teams had a great game and the game had a good friendly atmosphere.
