Although Seacroft went 1-0 from a wonder strike from the centre tap; the Middleton team stuck at it and Ryan Brough grabbed two goals within minutes, soon after Gavin James scored his first for the club on his debut, another debutant Michael Lynch scored another to make it 4-1 at the half time whistle.

At half time the Middleton management praised the lads for their performance making two changes in the process, Graham Twycross replaced Nicholas Egan and Jamie Allen replaced Martin Evans.

The Middleton team continued to dominate the second half, but Seacroft pushed the score to 4-2 just after half time. Ryan Brough grabbed another just before Seacroft got their 3rd goal, making the score to 5-2, then 5-3 soon after, Middleton continued to try and put the game beyond Seacroft's reach by replacing Michael Lynch with Stefan Beer. Ryan Brough got a 4th goal just after the substitution, then Jamie Allen grabbed a much deserved goal, then minutes before the final whistle Ryan Brough completed his goal fest with a 5th goal.

The match official named Ryan Brough as man-of-the-match.

Wayne Dixon, secretary of Middleton Park FC said: "I can honestly say, that the lads were brilliant. We must be favourites for this year's Jackson's Trophies Division title.

"The big Dane, Max Nielsen another debutant also did very well at centre half and Jerome Johnson was another debutant who was a rock in midfield. I just can't wait to test the team in a league fixture on September 10."
