Belle Isle: Man in court after police stun gun raid

A MAN has appeared in court over an incident in which a man was shot with a stun gun when armed police swooped on a house in Belle Isle.

Karl Robertson, 42, appeared before Leeds Magistrates court on Saturday charged with assault and possession of a firearm after the incident on Friday morning.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before the court again tomorrow.

It follows an incident at a home on Middleton Road, Belle Isle, at 9am after a man was reported to have a gun.
