A Belle Isle woman who had sex with a 13-year-old boy walked free from court today after she was given a suspended sentence.
Sarah Webster, 27, appeared at Leeds Crown Court for sentence after earlier admitting sexual activity with a child.

The case was not opened today, but at an earlier hearing the court was told the offence happened between December 6 last year and January 11.
While she was on bail for that offence the youngster went back to her house in Middleton Way in Belle Isle, and was discovered in bed with her again.

The youngster, who cannot be named, had turned up at her house earlier in the evening and the pair went upstairs.

They fell asleep in the bedroom and were woken by police who had been called to the address. No offence had been committed.

Judge Rodney Grant said the offence she admitted to last year was "serious" and would normally mean a custodial sentence.

However, he said he had read the reports into Webster's life and had noted the difficulties she had and was still experiencing.
She has already served more than 50 days in prison while on remand, the court was told.

The judge added: "I have read about the life she has had and the difficulties she has had and those that need to be addressed by the agencies who have identified them and who are willing to help her.
"I want her to understand that this was an offence that normally means she would serve a prison sentence from today."

She was given a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years. She was also made the subject of a two-year supervision order with a condition that she reside at a probation-approved address for 12 months.

She was also made the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order which bans her from contacting the victim or from inviting male children under the age of 16 to her house.

She was also made to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for 10 years.
The court was told Webster, a mother-of-four, suffered at the hands of a violent partner who on one occasion had used a sledgehammer to smash his way through a wall.

In mitigation, Tom Rushbrooke added: "This young lady always knew he (the victim) was 13 but she always viewed him as older."
