A free £25,000 refurbishment has breathed new life into The Hunslet Club.
The Hunslet Club in South Leeds hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the work which was won as part of Radio Aire's campaign to reward a good cause.

Connaught Partnerships donated the prize which was backed by thousands of radio listeners who voted for the club.

A shortlist of three local good causes was selected from nominations by Connaught's partners Aire Valley Homes Leeds, West North West Homes Leeds, Leeds Federated Housing and East North East Homes Leeds.

The redevelopment has seen the main hall floor restored to its former glory and the male changing rooms completely refurbished as part of the club's first facelift in 37 years.
