Match report: Ring of Bells FC v Middleton Park FC

Middleton Park FC enjoyed a 6-2 win in the first round of the Parkfields Suite Cup.

Middleton Park FC dominated from the start, although the performance overall was quite poor, the team still managed to take an early lead through Rodney Adams first for the club.

Another goal was soon recorded after Martin Evans managed to put the ball through the keeper's legs at a tight angle to make it 2-0 to Middleton.

Jarvis Hamlet also recorded his first goal for the club soon after.

Throughout the first half Middleton dominated despite a poor performance, Carl Palmer netted his second in two games just before half time.

Half time score was 4-0 to Middleton, 15 minutes into the second half Ring of Bells punished Middleton for falling asleep at the back by scoring a lucky goal, Steven Rose failed to collect the ball from the floor; Reserve goalkeeper Ben Heath then replaced Steven Rose. Carl Palmer notched up another goal just after the substitution.

Two more changes were then made 20 minutes from time, Ben Oates replacing Darren Watson and Simon Bradley replacing Jarvis Hamlet. Middleton soon got caught sleeping again when Ring of Bells found their second of the game.

Middleton Park looked comfortable and a nervy challenge by Ring of Bells gave Carl Palmer his hat-trick from the penalty Spot and Middleton Park a place in the second round.
